Bennett Benefit

On October 11th, 2014 Dianna and her Grandson Joseph (7 years old) were in a car accident. While traveling a narrow mountain road on Napa Point in the Swan Valley, a soft shoulder pulled the vehicle off the side of the mountain and rolled it straight down 250 feet where the SUV violently rolled between 5-6 times. Dianna was thrown from the car and ended up with a shattered collar bone requiring surgery and a shoulder injury requiring ongoing treatment. Her Grandson Joseph received a severe cut to his hand requiring multiple stitches and still has trouble sleeping and riding in the car.

Dianna and Joseph somehow hiked up the side of the mountain to the road barefoot and hiked almost ½ a mile down the dirt road to where they met up with Dianna’s daughter and nephew Kelly. The whole time she dismissed her own injuries, gave her one shoe to Joseph so he had some comfort and tended to his wound and kept him calm.
